Mira Gandy
Mira Gandy is a New York–born, Los Angeles–based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores how Black women and queer communities are seen, remembered, and represented. Working across painting, installation, photography, film and video, performance, and archival projects, she examines the intersections of beauty, identity, race, memory, and belonging. Drawing from personal experience, oral histories, and community collaboration, Gandy creates immersive experiences that weave together intimate narratives and collective histories. Gandy earned her BFA from the USC Roski School of Art and Design and is currently pursuing her MFA at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).
